Asunción, May 2026 — Sports Summit Madrid and the II Iberoamerican Forum on Sport, Inclusion; Sustainability FIDIS were presented to the highest institutional body of Iberoamerican sport during the 2026 Sports Summit and the Assembly of Ministers of Sport organized by the Ibero-American Sports Council in Asunción, Paraguay.

Rafael Veljanovich, Director of Partnerships at Sports Summit Global, participated on Monday morning in the CONSUDE Assembly alongside ministers and secretaries of sport from across South America. In the afternoon, he spoke at the Sports Summit, a gathering of government authorities, institutional leaders, and key figures from the regional sports ecosystem, whose closing session was led by the President of Paraguay, Santiago Peña.

On Tuesday, May 5, Sports Summit also took part in the Assembly of the Ibero-American Sports Council, where sports authorities from the Americas, Spain, and Portugal convened. During this session, Sports Summit Madrid 2026 and the II Iberoamerican Forum on Sport, Inclusion amp; Sustainability FIDIS were formally introduced as strategic platforms for regional collaboration across sustainability, inclusion, and social development within the sports industry.

This participation positioned Sports Summit Madrid and FIDIS within the institutional agenda of Iberoamerican sport, not merely as events, but as platforms for coordination between industry, governments, federations, international organizations, and the private sector.

The II Iberoamerican Forum on Sport, Inclusion; Sustainability will take place on June 18, 2026, within the framework of Sports Summit Madrid, with the support of the Ibero-American Sports Council. The Forum aims to consolidate a space where Iberoamerican sport can build a shared agenda linked to sustainability, inclusion, and social impact, months ahead of the next Iberoamerican Summit of Heads of State and Government.
