Madrid, April 15, 2026 – SPORTS SUMMIT MADRID SSM and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces FEMP have signed a collaboration agreement at the institution’s headquarters. The FEMP brings together town councils, provincial councils, island councils, and cabildos from across Spain, and acts as the voice of municipalities and provinces before other public administrations. This step represents a significant milestone for both organizations, which share the goal of driving the development of the sports sector and fostering the creation of new connections and collaboration opportunities.
The signing ceremony was attended, on behalf of FEMP, by Luis Martínez-Sicluna Sepúlveda, Secretary General; Jaime Carnicero de la Cámara, Director General of Organization and Resources; Daniel Fernández Rodríguez, Deputy Director of Training, Studies, Civil Service and Sports; and Ignacio Díaz Cela, Secretary of the Sports Commission. Representing SSM was Pepe Ortiz, Managing Director.
Through this agreement, FEMP joins SSM for the first time and will take part—alongside other leading institutions—in the second edition of this key meeting point for the sports industry. Its participation will significantly strengthen the project by adding institutional value and expanding the reach of its collaboration network.
In this context, FEMP, by virtue of its role, positions itself as a key player in attracting companies linked to infrastructure and equipment as tools for social transformation. It will also play a major role in strengthening and expanding the project’s network, actively contributing to its consolidation as the leading meeting point for the sports industry. All of this will foster new opportunities, knowledge exchange, and the creation of synergies among the various stakeholders within the ecosystem.
